I’ve always been obsessed with movies -from watching weekend TV screenings with my Nana to asking people what their favourite film is just to see what it reveals about them. My all‑time favourite is Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze, and I will happily talk about it at length. It fascinates me how people connect through the films they watch, how opinions can be wildly polarising, and how stories shape the way we see the world. So it’s no surprise that I ended up telling stories too -horror and dark fantasy as K.T. McQueen, and screenwriting as Catherine Hewitt, including a cheeky little Hallmark‑style Christmas romance currently in the works. I read this author before, and her main genre is horror. This time she wrote a thriller about a serial killer. The story is tangled, sometimes I feel I got lost in too many details and characters, and the reader must be focused to catch the point. Anyhow, the private detective Kayla is a charming and intelligent, independent woman who still feel attraction toward her ex-partner Cosh, and her unusual methods are sometimes disapproved. Chapter by chapter, the reader will reveal the truth about people who live one life for the public and hide many secrets. The killer has a specific message that the reader must discover.
