Did you play the truth or dare?

Remember the game with the bottle in childhood? You are sitting in a circle with friends, someone spins the bottle and when this stop spinning, a person who is nearest to the bottle will answer questions. This was an unpleasant situation because questions were challenges. Some games went so far that the picked person should kiss someone.

This was childhood trauma. Girls were playing with Barbara, she was introvert and good material for cruel jokes. They said to her, kiss the tree, otherwise, we will avoid you. But Barbara was tough and she rejected to made fool of yourself. The kissing tree was worse than kiss the ugliest guy. Everybody waited but she did not move. That act made her stubborn and later she did a good career because she despises authorities.

Monica was a victim of "truth or dare." She got questions about her sex life, and in the circle were some unknown guys. She talked without shame how she changed a few guys in her bed, and after this game guys were looking at her with different eyes. One of them wanted to flirt with her because she was so open-minded. She was indeed naive because her story spread around. The rule of the game was "nothing can't go out of this circle", but nobody respected this. She had trouble with rumors about her. Every guy who asked her for a date wanted sex.

The third girl in the circle was Andrea. She was silent and old fashioned. She replied on every question in a way "I don't have an idea, because I never went through this." Indeed, she was boring. She lived in a safe box and she stayed like these until 35. Life saved her many troubles, but she was a prisoner in a golden cage. She still lives with her mother and she thinks that God has a solution for her. Prince charming will ring on her doorbell and she will be awarded for her purity. Recently a guy fooled her on the internet. He had fake photos and when they met at the coffee he was a different person. He said these were photos from his youth, and she was so disappointed.

Truth or dare is a life question. Shall we accept challenges or not?

If we want to taste the beauty of life, we will sign an invisible contract. We accept to bleed inside, to suffer, to cry. Also, we will have joyful days, full of life and happiness. Never regret because sometimes you feel that you are frozen, that you can't get out of your house because life was unfair with you. You will be wiser and stronger after you solve your problems. Also, you will be grateful, because you broke these obstacles. This is a pleasure when you get something that was so difficult to reach.

Barbara was stubborn, Monica was naive, and Andrea was coward. They faced problems in different ways. Life gave them what they earned in this truth or dare game.

Should we respond to negative reviews?

Recently I had a discussion in my social media about negative ratings. There was a situation in Goodreads, where I got two negative reviews on my two books. The point was in the way how the ratings were set up. First rating for my book "Body in the waves" was placed under 5-star review from another reviewer. While the reviewer praising my book, the troll came under to say "This is really bad book." Second rating was described as " Poor author needs writing lessons." Both reviews broke standards of reviewing, because there is no visible evidence that book was downloaded in Kindle unlimited or purchased. It was a clear troll act from a new page, without a profile photo and with a nickname. I reported this to Goodreads and they responded me they are processing this. Meanwhile, I heard from other authors that Goodreads failed to do anything about trolling.  In these terms, Goodreads should delete such profiles and forbid the access because of breaking rules. The book based on true events

A paperback version is on Amazon.  Genre: Contemporary romance, young adult short novel Place of action: Croatia Alert : based on true story The blurb:   Valentina lives in a small town. The priorities for women are to get marry in twenties.  Fighting with prejudices, Valentina has an open relationship with a local hooligan. The love story will develop in a wrong direction. Valentina will learn important life lessons. The review: Clear, sharp, legible, written in Kristina's recognizable style. An interesting, powerful, instructive story - when an intelligent woman falls in love with a bad man. This is a real-life story that happens to many women. The story shows that intelligent women and common sense are not immune to falling in love with bad men and the thought that they can change them. A love story that is not really a romantic story. Love is one-sided. Love is stronger than reason, but until a moment when everything has changed. Purchase link:  Seduced by...

Swapping books - a devil's deal

"I will read your book if you read and review mine." This is an example of author's deal when it comes time for reviews. Reviews is hard to get. If you sell books, it is still not guarantee you will get reviews. If I could get a review for every book I sold, it would be great. People will buy book to collect it on the shelves and leave it un-read. Or, they will read but not rate it. Many reasons are for not getting reviews, but some people don't know where and how to write reviews or are not eligible. That is the reason why authors will turn to other authors, with a proposition for review. The danger of such review is on Amazon rules: author can't review other's author books on request. I love to read indie authors and they inspire me, but I have my circle and I never accept offers to read someone I never heard about. Once I got a proposition :" Hey, I saw your review for XX author, can you write it for me, too?" I ignored it. When you have a deal ...
