How will algorithms destroy a written word?

If you are a thriller author, you must be careful about your book covers. Using a knife in your background means you are supporting violence. But, what if it is a weapon of murder in your book? If you write about murder, you will not post flowers or kittens, don't you?

If you are a romance or erotica author, you must be careful not to post nudity. A man with a naked torso in the background, what does it look like?

I am not joking, we are talking about algorithms nowadays. You will not be aware if are you breaking the rules, and the community will alert you. The author will not be able to advertise the book if someone reports your post might be deleted because it offended someone's feelings.

Do you know what is insulting my feelings? The fact we fought for the freedom of speech and after centuries of burning books and sacrifices, we got back in the Stone Age and in the arms of censorship.

Let me write you one example.

I had proofread of book and this was my sentence. "The fat man sat next to the woman. " And a proofreader said: "Overweight man. The word fat might offend some feelings."

Once I was giving a review for the book. I used the word "shit" because it was in the sentence of that book, I wrote "it was a shitty day" like it was written in the book. My review did not get approval, even though I posted it copy-pasted from the book.

Using censorship might get undesirable effects:

The lack of humor. We must be careful what to write.

The lack of imagination. The content might get limited, dull, and uncreative.

The lack of originality. If we must follow the rules, the books will be written in a pattern.

Do you want to read books where algorithms rule by content and ruin your spirit?

Swapping books - a devil's deal

"I will read your book if you read and review mine." This is an example of author's deal when it comes time for reviews. Reviews is hard to get. If you sell books, it is still not guarantee you will get reviews. If I could get a review for every book I sold, it would be great. People will buy book to collect it on the shelves and leave it un-read. Or, they will read but not rate it. Many reasons are for not getting reviews, but some people don't know where and how to write reviews or are not eligible. That is the reason why authors will turn to other authors, with a proposition for review. The danger of such review is on Amazon rules: author can't review other's author books on request. I love to read indie authors and they inspire me, but I have my circle and I never accept offers to read someone I never heard about. Once I got a proposition :" Hey, I saw your review for XX author, can you write it for me, too?" I ignored it. When you have a deal ...
