If you hate the artist, don't make bad reviews as revenge

I understand that not everyone has the same taste. The book that made someone joyfully is a piece of trash to others. For example, I think "Fifty shades of grey" is bullshit and an illusion for naive women, but many women will enjoy this. Some people use bad ratings and reviews as a tool for revenge. I had conflicts with a few authors in the past, and they use it to rate bad my books. It is not professional at all, that is a childish act. If you want to show your greatness, make a successful. Show me you can sell more books than I could, or get more reviews.  While you are spending time spitting at my work, I am writing and promoting my books. I am too busy with my aim to make a paycheck for bad people. If you rate a book with one star, and that book has more than 20 good reviews, you should have good arguments. If you can describe why you don't like a book, I will congratulate you. If you just write "this is trash", it doesn't talk about a book, it talks ab...

You should explain why you rate books with one or two stars

I was scrolling through profiles on Goodreads. Many of them look like trolls, they read about 200 books and rated them with 2 or 1 star.  Now, I am wondering, are those people just haters, do they throw books in the trash or is it something else behind this? As a reviewer, I always like to explain my choice. If I give a bad mark, I will tell you why I think so. I will never be a person who will just rate a book without explanation. Even worse, some people rate book on Amazon, you can't see who did it, there is just this one star, like an egg to your face. Tell me that my book is a piece of trash, it is boring and terrible, but don't be an invisible troll who is just bragging about numbers. You remind me of a kid who throws a rock at a neighbor's window and runs away before he finds out who did it.  To be objective, I don't like five stars rating without a review, too.  Someone wants to help me, but he did not read a book?  He did not buy a book but he brags it is exc...

Why should someone read my books?

Every writer wishes to sell his books. We want primary purpose, to reach an audience, readers who will buy our books. What makes difference between amateurs and professionals, is how they talk to the audience. If you hit an unknown internet user with a message "Hello! Will you review my book? I kindly ask you to read and review my story.", there is a big chance that you will get blocked. No wonder, you remind the reader of a beggar who is standing in front of your door, asking a favor.  Reviews are the main tools for sale, but how to get them? Why should someone read your book when you have millions of indie authors and books online? Why should someone buy your book when you have free books online? From my experience, how you represent yourself is the key to your sales. I have twelve books, various genres. How to - self-help books. I don't have an intention to lecture someone. I transfer my personal experience. In this way, I clean my soul from my mistakes and give you s...

How to deal with writer's block?

If you are a writer, you know what I am talking about. Some days you have an invisible obstacle in your mind, feels like a frozen stick inside and you don't know how to start. What to write and how to get out from the blockade? Writer's block could manifest in various forms: You can't start the book. You are stuck in the middle of the book. You don't know how to end the book. You are repeating yourself, this idea is already written.  How do I deal with writer's block? I use my memories from real life. I can't mistake it there, my life already told the story. I read books. I will not copy anyone, but others' books can develop the seed of an idea.  I take a break. Going out in the fresh air helps. You might meet someone who will inspire you. What motivates me?  My best writing period happens when I got angry. My words are flowing then, like someone talking to me about exactly what I should write.  Critics are the wind in my back. Let me show to assholes what I...

Body In The Waves - my thriller suspense

When the woman said NO, a man must stop his intimacy. Natalija said NO even though she fell in love with Denis, but he did not stop. This is a blurb of my new book. This is not a classical story about rape and revenge, this is a psychological analysis of the victim and her rapist. Natalija is spontaneous and naive, and Denis is a spoiled son raised in a rich family, he is the one who thinks the world is under his feet. His appetite will be bigger, but it is not enough to possess Natalija, he wants to earn money for her because she is the authentic victim.  Natalija's boyfriend Bruno is not someone who would protect her, he was not a man enough until he was pushed to the edge. His priority is his sister Maja, their parents died so he wants to be a father and brother at the same time. In these circumstances, he forgot about his girlfriend who needs attention and he turns her back.  Natalija stays alone, she is struggling for survival, and her appearance is her tool, she w...

Are you looking look down on other people?

Egotrip is a punishment for those who have it. Let's suppose you are an educated person, a geek, young and ambitious and the world is under your feet. At least, you are thinking so. You might think you have perks to look down on others. The moment you underestimate your competition is your weak moment. This is a game between David and Goliath, and the strongest will not always win. If you are a man, a woman can beat you. If you are pretty, a less attractive woman can steal your man. If you are young, older competition can beat you. You can never know what kind of card someone holds in their pocket. If you have a sword, be careful at the moment when you use that word, it can turn against you.  Forgiveness is not always a value. Not everyone will forget and forgive what you did to them. Karma and paycheck are bad guys who will hit you from the corner when you don't expect this. Everyone has a boiling point, be careful where you are standing. Someone doesn't like mockery. Some...

What is a fuss with followers and unfollowers?

A big manifestation of ego in social media is visible through the option follow. Everyone wants fans, a big community, someone who will admire them, buy their stuff, and obey orders. What would celebrities in old times say about this mess? Ava Gardner, Marylin Monroe, Brigitte Bardot did not need social media, they were adored and followed by fans. Today, every plastic girl with a duck face thinks she is a star. Every guy who has naked photos and muscles expects women are slaves who will obey him. As everyone who wants to upgrade online business, in my case books, I need followers. I follow many people, but I will unfollow them if they bother me in private. That is my basic rule if I don't know you if I never talked to you before, and you insist to bother me, I will block you. In other ways, I don't think that I am better than anyone else. I am not a star and I am not pretentious.  This is how some women and men think, they will follow a bunch of people and when they reach a bi...
