Featuring author Scott Revolinski

Here we are, I am continuing to feature awesome authors. S. M. Revolinski is a “baby boomer” born in Wyoming but moved around. He studied physics at Rice University in Houston, Texas, and Nuclear Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, before settling on a career criticality safety. He is now a retired engineer living in Florida and spends as much time as possible on the beach. When he is not entertaining his grandchildren or trading stock options, he enjoys writing. While not exactly science fiction, most of his stories are connections between the supernatural and the real world – what if ‘this’ really happened? His recent “Tales From Wyoming” series is a collection of interconnected short stories of the Old West.  Each story is a standalone adventure based upon some fragment of a story told during childhood growing up in Wyoming. Readers: pay attention at advantages of e-books

When I talk about books, I have a vision of a library where I spent time in my childhood. The smell of old covers attracted me and I was walking between shelves, touching books. The covers fascinated me and the blurb was important to pull my attention. Nowadays, e-books are a popular tool to read. Life goes fast, people have daily obligations and classical books are not so practical to fill your time. If you wish to read, you can pick an e-book in the Kindle application to read on your phone. My books are available on Amazon. If you pick an e-book, these are the advantages: You will read it from your mobile application.  An e-book is not something you can forget, it is placed on your phone. Pages are going fast, with one touch of a finger, so you don't need paper and pencil to mark them.  An e-book is an exceptional tool when you don't want to be disturbed while you are traveling.  While you can't bring 10 books in your purse, you can have a hundred books in your phone, t...

7 ways how to sell your book

The book is done. It is published on Kindle and all you need is to sell it. That is the hardest part, because how to sell a book when millions of indie authors want to do the same? How to make your book visible? How to make your story jump out from others? I will mention seven ways I used to sell my books. It doesn't work the same way for everyone. Promoting your book on social media. Share your link on Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram, and Pinterest. You never know who will see it. It is recommended to make a good, professional cover because buyers will buy a product that looks like a real book from the library. Make a selfie or video with your book. People like videos, living images, and trailers, so do it on Tik Tok or Instagram to make your own marketing. You can do a paid promotion on professional sites for book sales. These promotions have variable costs, depending on genre, you can invest 10, 20, or 50 dollars to promote your book on their site and share it in their ...

My book: The mermaid from my nightmare

Greetings to my readers and everyone who will be my reader in the future.  I have a new book. This awesome cover is made by Red Cape Publishing. My thriller suspense is available on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09GFZPLXH/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i2 Treat yourself for Christmas and purchase my new book tomorrow, on the release day.  What is it about? The blurb: Living in different parts of the world, Dijana and Antonio would never meet. Dijana is a journalist who is looking for inspiration for a story. Antonio is a family man, a workaholic. When Dijana comes to Brazil to visit her younger sister, their paths will cross. The event from the past is hunting him. The act of burglary will wake up his fearful doubts and bitter memories. A reminiscence on the affair with a woman called Mermaid damaged his reputation. His family is in danger. Who is hating him so much to want him dead? Another victim will pay for sins, and whose turn is next? I have never been to Brazi...

Featuring author Martin J. Best

Today I am featuring an awesome author Martin J. Best. His stories about ghost hunting captured my interest. A short biography: Born in 1965, Martin J. Best is a native of Torquay, on the UK's English Riviera, where he grew up in an actively haunted house. He has had a varied work life, including many years running his own mobile disco business, and is now fulfilling a life-long dream to write full-time. When not working, he enjoys listening to a wide variety of music, ghost hunting, and walking/trail running with his dogs Shadow and Raven – a Northern Inuit and a Groenendael.   Much of the action in Martin’s character-driven paranormal stories are set in and around his hometown, the use of genuine locations giving his meticulous world building an unpretentious authenticity. Readers: why is important to have "verified purchase"?

Before three years I gave a lot of free books. I don't remember the number, maybe over 100. Did you guess how many reviews I got? About ten, not more. Also, some of my reviews were deleted by Amazon. The reason was: "there is no track of the book." What does it mean? When you see a mark above the review, that says "verified purchase", it means that your reader bought a book or got it with Kindle Unlimited. If your reader is outside of the USA, his review will appear also in one of the Amazon countries (16 in total), depending on which state he is in. Mostly my readers are from the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany.  When you ask for a review, as an author, you will offer ARC copy. That is a double-cross because you don't know will you get a review. If your reader is buying your book, it means you will probably get a review sooner or later.  Why is a verified purchase important? Amazon will not delete your review if this is a verified review. You are giving resp...

Featuring author Ben Christian

Today I am featuring awesome author Ben Christian. I read his book "Deep wounds". It was the first time I read Christian's thriller. Ben was born and raised in the small and quiet town of Silsbee, Texas. Crunching numbers by day as a formally trained accountant, Ben has written several short stories through the years and has begun fulfilling his lifelong interest in storytelling through adrenaline-filled novels based upon people that you know and see every day.  He firmly believes that behind every smile, every laugh, and every tear, there is a story. Understanding the power of passion and will, Ben applies this philosophy to his own aspirations, believing that anything is possible with faith. When not behind the pen, Ben is an avid car fanatic and enjoys attending car shows/races with his wife, traveling to new places, and enjoying new life experiences that can be incorporated into his work.
